Vacancy Event Group

Are you excited about increasing sustainable awareness at Utrecht Science Park? And would you like to gain experience in coordinating a small team? Check out this volunteer position for 2 - 4 hours a week at the Green Office. 

Green Office Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 (GOUU) is the platform for students and employees of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 where sustainable ideas are formed, plans come together, and projects are launched. GOUU supports Utrecht 木瓜福利影视's sustainability process. We raise awareness about sustainable solutions and UU ambitions among students and staff and support sustainability projects from within our university community. 

What is the Event Project Group? 
The event project group is all about awareness and community. This project group will host multiple events per year around different topics of sustainability at the UU. Think about excursions, symposiums, clean-up activities, zero-waste dinners, you name it! The goal of the project group is to increase sustainable behaviour by bringing together UU's green community.  
What will you be doing? 
 

As a group member, you will be participating in the project group. The aim of the project group is to organise at least 4 events per year regarding sustainability.   You'll actively prepare, promote and execute these events. You will reach out to UU's sustainable community and find out what kind of events would be suited to increase and tighten the community. This project group is starting this year, so you will join a fresh group of like-mined people. 
 

What will you get in return?

  • This position is an excellent way to increase your experience in organisational skills and become more aware of the impact of a circular economy and zero-waste. You will learn more about how to encourage others to become more sustainable.

  • Every three months, you will receive a Vegetable Bag.

Your profile 

  • You are passionate about sustainability and excited about hosting events for the sustainable community.  
  • You have plenty of creative ideas and are enthusiastic about increasing awareness and changing behaviour. 
  • You are willing to volunteer for an average of two to four hours a week.
