Special Interest Group (SIG) on Research-Practice Partnerships (RPPs)
The Research-Practice Partnerships SIG aims to advance our understanding of the theory, methods, and practice of conducting collaborative research with societal and professional partners. To facilitate interdisciplinary exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences, the SIG welcomes academics from different fields within the Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences and beyond. The SIG meetings provide the opportunity for networking, dialogue, collaboration, and mentorship among scholars at all career stages who are engaged in RPPs, or interested in starting an RPP. Often, scholars engaged in RPP work encounter similar practical and epistemological challenges when building, maintaining and phasing partnerships while simultaneously fulfilling the demands of their field for innovative and relevant research. The SIG meetings create a space to discuss those challenges and contribute to building capacity for addressing them.
The SIG holds four meetings per year, and is jointly coordinated by Prof. Elma Blom, Dr. Lotte Henrichs and Dr. Semiha Bekir from the Department of Development & Education of Youth in Diverse Societies.
