UU Annual Report 2024 published: 'Open and connected in a changing world'
Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 has published its annual report for 2024. Despite social tensions, budget cuts and geopolitical unrest, students and staff remained committed to high-quality research and education, and to making a positive impact on society. The report highlights, among other things, the renewal of the educational model, progress towards a Zero Waste campus by 2030, and the awarding of prestigious scientific distinctions, such as the Spinoza Prize and the Stevin Prize.
The Supervisory Board expresses its appreciation for the efforts of the university community, emphasises the importance of international cooperation, sustainable development and high-quality education, and looks to the future with confidence. It also reflects on the tensions surrounding the situation in Gaza and Israel, which led to protests and occupations on campus, during which the university emphasised the importance of dialogue and connection. In addition, work has been done on a new Strategic Plan, sustainable accommodation, professional personnel policy and future leadership.
