Utrecht Young Academy is looking for new members
The Utrecht Young Academy is now soliciting applications for new members. Excellent young UU-researchers (between 0 and 8 years after receiving their PhD degree) are eligible for nomination.
In 2016 the first 24 members of the UYA were selected. Each year 8 additional members will join. Members are appointed for a period of 5 years. Every other year, the selection procedure will switch. In odd years, candidates will be nominated by deans, education vice-deans, directors of strategic programs, and PhD-councils and in even years researchers at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 may nominate themselves. This year is an odd year.
Nominations
Selected parties may submit three nominations: one male candidate, one female candidate, and one candidate in the context of diversity. The Utrecht Young Academy adopts a broad definition of diversity. It can relate to race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identification, sexuality, social class and religion. Other aspects may also fall within the purview of diversity. If this is the case, the selection committee will consider it. The goal is to increase the participation of individuals from groups that are underrepresented in academia.
Nominations should be submitted to uya@uu.nl no later than November 18, 2019. Interviews will take place on January 20th, 22nd (all day), and 23rd (afternoon; request for nominated candidates to keep these dates free).
