A team representing Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 won the Prize for Best Memorials (written pleadings) at the Dutch National Round of the Phillip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.

This competition was held in Maastricht from 15-16 February 2018. The International Rounds will take place on 1-7 April 2018. Teams of law students compete against one another by presenting written pleadings (memorials) and oral pleadings on hypothetical cases concerning topical issues of public international law. The Jessup Moot Court Competition is the oldest and largest in the world, attracting the participation of law schools from all around the globe. This year, the students had opportunity to address pressing issues such as international dispute settlement, law of the sea, nuclear disarmament and the use of force.

The Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 team won the Prize for Best Memorials (written pleadings). The team consists of four students, Huahua Chen, Sarah Jakob, Nick van der Steenhoven and Soumyaa Verma, who are students of the Public International Law Master Programme and Legal Research Master.
