Students of the Master's programmes in Dutch Studies, Literature Today and Dutch Language and Culture: Education and Communication have started a (Dutch) on climate literature. With this website they try to contribute to climate literacy in the Netherlands.

Climate truants on the streets, heated debates in the Tweede Kamer and popular series on the disaster scenario when the dikes break: the climate crisis is literally a hot topic. There is also a trend in literature of novels, poetry and plays that treat the climate issue as a central topic.

Climate crisis

This website discusses literature that can give us answers to questions such as: What has been thought and written about the relationship between man and nature in recent years? Can literature contribute to creating more awareness and behavioural change in relation to the climate crisis? How do the authors deal with something so grand and elusive that exceeds the human scale?
