USO project ideas introduce themselves; will you join?

During the matchmaking event on 19 October, five consortia will introduce themselves and their project idea to the university. They invite faculty members to join to complete their consortium.

Five consortia have been invited by the USO committee to submit a proposal. The proposals can apply for a maximum of €250,000. It will be announced in mid-April 2023 which applications will be awarded.

Consortia

It concerns the following consortium leaders project ideas:

Theme: Assessment and monitoring of study progress

  • Renske Bouwer with the project idea "Promoting the reading and writing nexus: Guiding students in the process from synthesis to thesis writing".

Theme: Close-knit community

  • Gerko Vink and Matthieu Brinkhuis and the project idea "Community of Practice in Education of AI & Data Science"
  • Ralph Meulenbroeks with the project idea "A motivation barometer and associated interventions"

Theme: Subjectification and social responsibility of Utrecht Students

  • Clara Drenth-van Maanen with the project idea "Dedicated days Interprofessional Education health professions".
  • Eugène Loos with the project idea "Students at work with reliable digital information: an innovative interfaculty trajectory".

Matchmaking meeting

During the matchmaking meeting, the consortium leaders pitch their idea. Then they spread across the room and interested parties and potential consortium members discuss the plan and maybe even take it a step further.

Interested parties to participate in a consortium can apply to the relevant consortium leader. This consortium leader ultimately determines the optimal composition of the consortium to realise the project idea.
