木瓜福利影视 College Utrecht students kick off research collaboration with 木瓜福利影视 of Aruba
Eleven 木瓜福利影视 College Utrecht students are now in Aruba getting started on research for their thesis projects in anthropology, environmental science, geography, geology, law, and political sciences.
The student鈥檚 first week in Aruba helped the participating 木瓜福利影视 College Utrecht students and students from UA鈥檚 bachelor of engineering programme (SISSTEM) start getting to know each other through a series of excursions that highlight the challenges for sustainable development that Aruba is facing. The excursions brought students to a range of sites that give context for their different projects, including the local water and power plant, the island鈥檚 landfill, the mangroves on the island鈥檚 south coast, the Bubali water treatment plant, a hydroponic farm, a center for addiction recovery, a new nature preserve for wetlands, a foundation dedicated to the addressing societal challenges in an urban neighborhood, as well as the Museum of Industry in San Nicolas and the Archaeological Museum in Oranjestad.
The students will be carrying out their field research in Aruba until April 2022.
