Two Future Food Projects Receive PtS Incubator Grants
Two projects related to Future Food Utrecht have received from the Pathways to Sustainability programme. The first project, focuses on the role of living labs in sustainable food system transformations in Africa. It builds on the work of , a consortium comprised of 10 food system labs in 10 cities and 6 countries in Eastern, Western, and Southern Africa. The project is led by (Geosciences). The second project,, led by (Utrecht School of Economics), aims to trace the workings of the global food system by following several products with a so-called Geographical Indication (GI). Four seminars will be organised as part of the project, each focusing on a different product.
The first seminar will take place on Wednesday 9 October, 10:00 – 12:00. Prof. dr. Cristina Grasseni (Leiden ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ) will lecture about from Northern Italy. This event will be a hybrid meeting. The other seminars will take place later in the fall, and trace apricots from Central Asia, coffee/chocolate from Indonesia, and Gouda Noord Holland cheese.
