As a clinical psychologist and senior researcher at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, Mooren studies the consequences of individual traumatisation on the immediate social environment, and vice versa. At ARQ Centrum'45, she works on the diagnosis, treatment and promotion of expertise regarding children, adolescents and adults with experiences related to violence and migration. This includes working with veterans, refugees, asylum seekers and the Second World War generations.

Family functioning

The special chair Mooren has been appointed to will focus on initiating, coordinating and conducting research activities and teaching in relation to the functioning of families and systems in light of drastic events. The chair signifies an expansion of a successful research line related to trauma and loss within the Clinical Psychology division at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences.
