Timeless classics examined in Cover to Cover
How have certain books influenced our perception of the world? In Cover to Cover, a lecture series by the Utrecht Young Academy (UYA), the impact and relevance of three classics are put under scrutiny.
The books that will be discussed are The Selfish Gene (Richard Dawkins), Orientalism (Edward Said) and Imagined Communities (Benedict Anderson). The impact of these books on science and society will be examined by a UYA academic from each respective discipline. All lectures are free and there is no need to sign up.
