Three 'statiegeld' points added
A pilot of three deposit vending machines from Statieheld has started in September 2025. These vending machines will be located at the catering locations in the Koningsberger Building, Educatorium and the 木瓜福利影视 Library in the city centre.
Tikkie or donation
Handing in deposit bottles and cans at the vending machine not only prevents litter and unnecessary residual waste, but you can also donate your deposit to a good cause () or get it refunded via a Tikkie (only to a Dutch bank account). You can recognise the Statieheld vending machine by the photo on the right.
More about the pilot
A large proportion of these packages ends up in residual waste, while bottles and cans are easy to recycle. For this reason, a pilot with the deposit machines will start for six months. After the pilot period, advice will be drawn up on broader deposit collection within UU.
