The Utrecht Young Academy is looking for new members
The Utrecht Young Academy is now soliciting applications for new members. Excellent young UU-researchers (between 0 and 8 years after receiving their PhD degree) are eligible for nomination and can nominate themselves until November 12 2020.
The Utecht Young Academy was established in 2016 with the first 24 members and now counts now 48 members. Each year an additional 8 members will join. Members are appointed for a period of 5 years. Every other year, the selection procedure switches. In odd years, candidates are nominated by deans, education vice-deans, directors of strategic programmes and PhD-councils and in even years, such as this year, academics at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 may nominate themselves.
Nominations
The Utrecht Young Academy is looking for excellent young UU-researchers (between 0 and 8 years after receiving their PhD degree). In some cases, an extension clause may be applied. The period of eight (8) years can be extended with an additional two (2) years, in the case of demonstrable prolonged periods of leave in relation to illness, parenthood, pregnancy, or care. Extension is also possible if the candidate: a) has a part-time appointment in combination with caring responsibilities; b) is completing or has completed a specialist medical training as recognized by the KNMG; or c) has taken compassionate leave in combination with a specialist medical training.
