The secret of the Master
In early 2021, the new season of '' ('The secret of the Master') can be watched by AVROTROS on NPO 2. This season, Joris Dik and Michel van de Laar will be assisted by Dr Thijs Hagendijk and Lisa Wiersma (both Art History).
Het secret of the Master
Last year, Thijs Hagendijk obtained his doctorate with a thesis on the craftsmanship of the old masters. As a historian of science and an expert on materials, he delved into old practical recipes and prepared pigments for the reconstructions that he and Lisa Wiersma made for the programme. Wiersma, who is an art historian and illustrator, is currently working at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 on a dissertation on seventeenth-century painting techniques.
