The KlimaatHelpdesk: number 36 on the Trouw Sustainable 100, and winner of the Pathways to Sustainability Award 2021

The (ClimateHelpdesk in English) has its one-year anniversary on 30 October 2021. In just one year, the platform had 121 climate questions from the general public answered by experts, with the help of 40 volunteers, and an expert network of over 250 experts. On 8 October, the KlimaatHelpdesk received recognition for the great efforts and enthusiasm of everyone involved in the project: the platform made it to number 36 on the . On 14 October, they also won the Pathways to Sustainability Award 2021.

The annual Trouw Sustainable 100 ranks the most sustainable ‘grassroots’ initiatives. The winner of 2021 is ABP Fossielvrij, an initiative that holds pension funds ABP accountable for their investments in fossil fuel industries. The KlimaatHelpdesk ranks 36 in this list, and is praised for providing substantiated answers to every climate question, in a time when fake-news quickly spreads. The KlimaatHelpdesk also won the Pathways to Sustainability Award 2021 at the Pathways to Sustainability conference Making Change Happen. The first place was shared with The Participatory Value Evaluation, a collaboration between Delft ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ of Technology and Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. Pathways to Sustainability awarded the projects for being interdisciplinary in nature, involving co-creation with stakeholders and leading to societal impact. Great recognition for everyone involved in the KlimaatHelpdesk, and a very successful week!
