Team LLM Public International Law students wins The Award for the Best Oral Argumentation at the 2015 Telders International Law Moot Court Competition
Telders International Law Moot Court Competition
Following victory at the National Pre-Selection Round for the Netherlands, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 took part in the 2015 Telders International Law Moot Court Competition. Mooting on the sixth and seventh of May, in the fictional case of The Faranian Shark-Finning Dispute, Catherine Blanchard and Kristine 艤募ujeva represented the applicant Farania; whilst Vivien Szalai-Krausz and Alice O鈥機onnell defended the position of the respondent Totara.
During the award ceremony on the eighth of May, their hard work was rewarded with the position of third Best Team Overall of a total of twenty-four teams, representing the fourth Best Applicant Team and second Best Respondent Team. In relation to the written memorials, the applicants wrote the third Best Memorial, whilst the respondents excelled in the oral rounds by winning The Award for the Best Oral Argumentation for the Respondent. On an individual level, Vivien Szalai-Krausz won The Best Oralist Award, whilst Alice O鈥機onnell won The Runner-Up Best Oralist Award. This was out of 94 participants.
Representing the Department of Public International Law at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, the team was coached by (Assistant Professor of International Law and Researcher at the Utrecht Centre for Water, Oceans and Sustainability Law), along with the PhD Candidates, Nelson Coelho and Arron Honniball (Utrecht Centre for Water, Oceans and Sustainability Law; UNIJURIS Project).
