Teaching & Learning Lab organizes Design Thinking session and Autumn Festival

You can now sign up for two activities of the Teaching & Learning Lab: the Design Thinking Session ‘Education is Everywhere’ on November 13 and the Autumn Festival 2020 on 27 November.

Design Thinking Session ‘Education is Everywhere’ - Friday, November 13, 2020

Education doesn't just take place from 9 to 5, in classrooms or on an online platform. Learning never stops, it goes on, also in learners’ ‘spare time’. To explore the opportunities of learning outside the school walls, the Teaching & Learning Lab is organizing the Design Thinking session on Friday 13 November: Education is Everywhere. The festival is aimed at secondary and higher education.

Guided by Antoinet Voschezang, Mirthe Mangnus & Heleen van Ravenswaaij, the participants will be challenged to use their creativity and find tangible and often unexpected solutions. This interactive session with a maximum of fifteen participants will take place in De Biltsche Hoek and provides direct access to a forest to gain inspiration. Participation is free and more information as well as the registration page for the Design Thinking session can be found .

Autumn Festival 2020 – Friday, 27 November, 2020

The fifth (online) edition of the Teaching & Learning Autumn Festival will take place on Friday afternoon, November 27, 2020. This year’s main theme is Education Everywhere, with Distance Learning and Augmented & Virtual Reality (AVR) as sub-themes. The festival is aimed at secondary and higher education.

In the keynote by motivation expert Ralph Meulenbroeks, the motivation at the time of distance learning is discussed. Furthermore, there are various workshops in which distance learning in secondary and higher education are discussed, we look at various tools that can help with distance education and the world of augmented and virtual reality can be explored on your own phone. It promises to be a great festival with room for direct applications in distance learning and there is room to further innovate education with AVR.
