'Food deserts or food swamps? Disparities in healthy food access in the U.S.'
Large disparities in food access exist in the U.S. Residents of deprived neighborhood often have worse access to fresh and healthy food products compared to residents of advantaged neighborhoods. These food access disparities tend to be worse in the US compared to most European countries. Why is this the case? And does food access matter to health disparities?
These themes will be discussed in the talk by visiting professor Daniel Block (Chicago State 木瓜福利影视). Next, associate professor Ozan Alakavuklar (Utrecht 木瓜福利影视) will reflect on these issues from an ethical and political perspective.
