Start of design phase renovation Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Hall
Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Hall is the heart of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. A place where students graduate, where science is celebrated and where meetings take place. To continue to do so in the future, the building will undergo a major renovation from September 2026. The Executive Board has commissioned further work on this renovation.
An experienced design team
An important milestone was reached at the end of May: the start of the design phase. An integral design team, consisting of Arcadis, Braaksma & Roos Architects and Fokkema & Partners, is now working together on a future-proof design. This involves not only the monumental Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Hall itself, but also the inner garden, the courtyard, the Faculty Club and the Pandhof (excluding the garden section). Sustainability, accessibility and inclusiveness are key. We look forward to the plans taking further shape in the coming period.
Preparing for temporary accommodation
The renovation means that Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Hall will be temporarily unavailable. An internal working group is therefore carefully studying which alternative locations would be suitable for the activities that normally take place in the building. This will consider continuity, representativeness and accessibility. We expect to be able to provide more clarity on the chosen solution after the summer.
Regular maintenance summer 2025
As every year, regular summer maintenance will also take place in Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Hall this summer. During weeks 29 to 33, maintenance work will be carried out on interior and exterior painting, among other things. This work is separate from the renovation and aims to maintain the building in good condition until the renovation commences.
