Season 3 of the Travelling Concepts on Air Podcast has kicked off with an episode on the “Urban”

After two successful seasons with nearly 7,000 downloads worldwide, a third season of the podcast series Travelling Concepts On Air (TCOA) had to follow. TCOA is a podcast series - organised and hosted by dr. Tessa Diphoorn and Dr. Brianne McGonigle Leyh - that explores the promise and ideal of interdisciplinarity by focusing on concepts that travel (or not) across disciplines ("travelling concepts"). Each podcast episode includes two guest speakers and deals with one concept. Some of the concepts we have covered in the past are War, Sustainability, Civil Society, Transformation, Sea Level and Security. There are plenty more concepts waiting to be discussed in season 3, such as Imagination, Efficiency and Privacy.

The third season kicks off with an episode on the concept of URBAN. In this episode, Tessa Diphoorn and Brianne McGonigle Leyh discuss the concept of CRISIS together with Nanna Verhoeff, Professor of Screen Cultures & Society at the department of Media and Culture Studies, and Martijn Oosterbaan, Professor of Religion and Security at the department of Cultural Anthropology. What characterises the urban? And what are the differences between urban, the city and public space? How is the concept used in their fields? What similarities are there and what differences? Find out all about by listening to this episode on Spotify, Apple Podcast or any other podcast platform!
