Results of annual Sport & Society network meeting
New ideas, new collaboration
On the 25th of October 2016 the annual Sport & Society network meeting was organised. The event took place at Hogeschool Utrecht. The group that participated consisted of 30 researchers and lecturers of Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ, Hogeschool Utrecht, physiotherapists and students.
Keynote speaker prof. dr. Ramón Spaaij kicked off with a presentation about ‘Sport in the changing city.’ After that, the participants split up in groups, focusing on various issues: ‘violence on the football pitch’, ‘sport and movement education in the future’, ‘collaboration between movement professionals and healthcare at home’ and the project ‘Beter Thuis’.
The evening resulted in many new connections, new ideas and plans for collaboration in the near future.
