Reminder: Call for for prosposals USO Educational Innovation, USO Consolidation, and Educational Innovation programme Comenius

At the moment, lecturers can submit a proposal for a USO Educational Innovation or USO Consolidation project or for the Educational Innovation programme Comenius.

USO Educational Innovation

The call for interfaculty USO innovation projects focuses on applications that can improve education at the UU with an innovative idea. This year, four themes have been defined in which projects up to €250,000 can be applied for. The themes are (1) close-knit community, (2) subjectification and social responsibility of utrecht students, (3) Assessment and monitoring study progress, and (4) the free category.

Teachers can apply as consortium members. If teachers already have an idea and would like to be project leaders, they can apply as consortium leaders with a rough idea. The deadline for application is 23 September.

USO Consolidation

The call for USO consolidation projects focuses on developing a business case for embedding an educational innovation in the organisation or marketing it, thus making it sustainable.

Projects between €5,000 and €50,000 can be applied for. The budget is intended for the consolidation of innovations from the education domain. The application is submitted by a project manager and a commissioning party. The application deadline is 25 November.

Educational programme Comenius

The Comenius programme is a national incentive programme for educational innovation, offered by the Netherlands Initiative for Education Research (NRO). It allows teachers to bring their vision on teaching into practice. Teachers can now apply for grants for so-called Teaching Fellows (€50,000 for a one-year project, small-scale innovation) and Senior Fellows (€100,000 for a two-year project, innovation within the entire degree programme).

The application deadline for Teaching Fellows is 20 September and the application deadline for Senior Fellows is 13 September.
