Publication by Astrid Martens chosen among top 10 best articles of 2017

In July of last year, the scientific periodical American Journal of Epidemiology published an article by Astrid Martens, about exposure to mobile telephone broadcast antennas and common health complaints, such as headaches and dizziness. Together with the Society for Epidemiologic Research (SER), the editors chose her publication as one of the 10 best articles of 2017. Martens earned her PhD at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in November 2017.

Martens鈥 article, , will be published again in April in a special issue of the journal, together with the other nine articles in the top-10 of 2017. The prize winners will be honoured at the annual meeting of the Society for Epidemiological Research in Baltimore, from 19 to 22 June 2018.

We are therefore very proud to have been chosen as one of the top 10. Our research was conducted very carefully, with a longitudinal structure, a multi-disciplinary approach, and the contribution of a very large number of participants.鈥
