On January 11th, Prof. dr. Belle Derks (one of the designated chairs of Institutions for Open Societies) appeared on Eva Jinek鈥檚 late night show, where she discussed with Minister Bussemaker the plan to dedicate 5 million euro鈥檚 for the appointment of 100 additional female professors. In the interview, Derks emphasised the influence of institution like mentoring networks and gender stereotypes in the systematically lower opportunities for women scientists in the Netherlands.
