Pieces of lunar meteorite donated to Utrecht 木瓜福利影视

Support in times of budget cuts

At a time when budget cuts are putting heavy pressure on education, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 received a remarkable donation: two thin sections and a disc of a lunar meteorite bearing the exotic name Adrar 012. The university received this gift from Roy Masin, owner of Stone Gallery in Baarn.

The thin sections鈥攗ltra-thin slices of the lunar meteorite about 0.03 mm thick鈥攃an be studied under a microscope by researchers. This allows them to determine which minerals make up the rock and thus uncover part of its geological history.

Welcome support

This generous gift arrives at a crucial moment, providing a welcome boost to the ongoing development of the educational institution. 鈥淭his donation is of great value to us,鈥 says Onno Tijsma, curator of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视鈥檚 geological collection. 鈥淎t a time when budget cuts limit the possibilities for educational institutions, gifts like this allow us to continue offering high-quality educational experiences.鈥

Investing in the future

Dr Inge Loes ten Kate, who oversees the meteorite collection, also emphasises how important it is for companies to continue investing in education and the future of young people. Donations play a vital role in enabling innovative projects and safeguarding the quality of education despite financial constraints. 鈥淲e hope that other companies will follow suit and show their support for educational institutions that are essential to the future.鈥
