Opening food truck with healthy snacks as part of UU food research
Food In Motion project
On Monday March 4, a food truck with healthy snacks at the Jaarbeursplein in Utrecht was officially opened by alderman Victor Everhardt.
Researchers of Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ want to find out if travellers at Utrecht Central Station would be willing to buy a healthy snack. Psychologists, food experts and urban geographers work closely together in this project. The food truck is part of the project Food In Motion.
This project was initially funded by de Future Food Seed Money Funds in 2015. In 2016 the consortium was successful in the acquisition of external funds within the Prevention Program – Healthy Neighbourhoods of The Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development. Researchers from Social & Behavioral Sciences, Geosciences and UMC Utrecht collaborate together with Utrecht Municipality in this project.
