NWO grant for ENRGISED project
Motivating citizens to participate in the energy transition
The Netherlands wants to be gas-free by 2050. In order to achieve this, the cooperation of society as a whole is required. Recently, Prof. Vincent Buskens and Prof. Arnout van de Rijt (Social Sciences) obtained an NWO grant for their ENRGISED project.
The grant was connected to the call Complexity and Creative Energy. The project is titled ENRGISED: ENgaging Residents in Green energy Investments through Social networks, ComplExity and Design. The aim of the project is to develop a strategy that can stimulate households to transition away from natural gas towards green energy alternatives. In particular, the project is about shaping energy transition experiments in Dutch cities in collaboration with citizens and other stakeholders.
The project is a collaboration with Ella Jasmin and Jotte de Koning from Design for Sustainability at TU Delft and Dr Deb Panja from the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. The project also falls within the Center for Complex Systems Studies (CCSS) at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视.
