Non-discrimiation during the elections
In this election year, almost all political parties make propositions on how to combat inequality and discrimination. During , it was even discussed whether Article 1 of the Constitution should be amended. Apparently we all find non-discrimination important.
However, as Professor of Fundamental Rights Law Janneke Gerards notes in an article on , those who read the election programs will soon notice parties specifically want to protect their own supporters. Furthermore, not all proposals are legally acceptable.
