On 28 June 2023, Next Food Collective (NFC) – a new collaboration between leading agro-food industries and knowledge and education organizations in the Netherlands – visited Future Food Utrecht/Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. We are one of the proud knowledge partners of NFC, which was officially launched on May 23. We enjoyed a lively exchange with non-executive director and former minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality Gerda Verburg and executive director Marian Geluk. We shared thoughts on the multifaceted questions of the food transitions, requiring urgent action in the fields of sustainability, health and fairness alike. Thank you Johan Garssen, Prescilla Jeurink, Rebecca Nordquist, George Kowalchuk, Roeland Berendsen, Guido van den Ackerveken (CropXR), Hedwich Teunissen (CropXR), René Kwant and all students involved for presenting your valuable insights and experiences on topics ranging from food allergy to circular agriculture and from climate-proof crops to the protein transition. Future Food was very happy to be the first stop in a series of visits to all NFC partners companies and institutions. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration in the years to come.
