New program 'Data Science UMC Utrecht' has started

Our healthcare is changing radically. Data science, artificial intelligence (AI) and the rapid digitization of systems are increasingly central. As a teaching hospital, it is our task to shape this change ourselves and not to undergo it alone. Data science will become an integral part of healthcare, education and research at UMC Utrecht. To shape this, there is a need for a secure data infrastructure, innovative research and a lot of perseverance to improve healthcare. That is why we are starting the 'Data Science UMC Utrecht' program at UMC Utrecht. It brings data infrastructure and all artificial intelligence (AI) together: 3AI.

For the data infrastructure we work closely with the national initiative Health-RI. Within UMC Utrecht, and her core team are responsible for this part of the program. coordinates and organizes the research and development, in which connection is sought with data scientists from Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. Director of digital care Hermen Jan van Ree and his colleagues are committed to the implementation and transformation in healthcare based on all the innovations that are coming our way. These three teams are the heart of the data science ecosystem: 3AI (Data-Research-Implementation Ecosystem-AI).

Data science and AI will have a fundamental impact on the way we work in healthcare, research and education. This requires a good data infrastructure. It will bring about a major change for patients, colleagues and students. By incorporating data science and AI into the structure of our organization in this way, we can make optimal use of this new technology
