New National 木瓜福利影视 Network AI Policy Education launched

Wednesday 16 October saw the first physical meeting of a new national education network around AI: National 木瓜福利影视 Network AI Policy Education (LUNAI). The meeting was hosted at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. Each Dutch university is represented in it with one or two staff members working on their university's central AI policy.

The formation of this closed expertise network of AI policymakers is an initiative of Yvette Roman in March 2024, attached as AI Governance Officer Education at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 and Tilburg 木瓜福利影视.

Major impact on education

All universities face the profound impact of AI. Within education, it affects, for example, the way tests are administered, teaching and the way students are allowed to use AI. There are many questions among lecturers and education support staff. The national university network provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices. This knowledge is disseminated within universities and can contribute to policy-making around AI. During this first physical session, there were several substantive sessions in cooperation with SURF and Npuls. UNL was also represented. Members have known each other for some time now as they meet monthly online. The network will continue to meet once a month and share expertise as there is a lot of work around the integration of AI in university education.

At Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, Yvette Roman has been appointed AI Governance Officer Education. Her assignment includes developing the central AI policy for education. Yvette focuses on setting up the AI Governance, of which the AI policy is a part, a holistic framework that brings together all essential AI aspects important for ethical and law-based implementation of AI in education.
