New generation of law students ready to help start-ups

Studenten praten met elkaar

On Monday, October 11, the Utrecht Law Clinic kicked off a new year. Eleven talented and motivated students ('fellows') will be tackling the legal challenges of start-ups and scale-ups in the Utrecht region this academic year. During the kick-off Mr. Johan Koggink (VBK) took the fellows into the world of the client. Questions such as what to do with the expectations and how to shape the relationship between consultant and client were discussed interactively.

The Law Clinic brings together talented law students and young businesses. The students gain work experience and the entrepreneurs are helped with sound legal advice or assistance in legal proceedings. Both come to fruition thanks to the clinic.

Clients needed

A young or small business (called a "start-up" or "scale-up") may run into a variety of legal problems or have legal questions. Specialized advice is crucial, but not affordable for everyone. How do you protect yourself, and your business?

Meanwhile, students have started working on the first consulting projects. There is still room for new clients this year. Do you have a question you would like to submit? You can! Fill in the form here.
