New episode podcast ‘De UU Docentenkamer’: ‘De sociaal rechtvaardige docent’

Why is it so important to pay attention to and make time for inclusion, diversity and integrity in university education?

In this episode of ‘De UU Docentenkamer’, Vincent Crone and Nienke van Keulen will talk about this topic with Gönül Dilaver, programme manager at Biomedical Sciences and associate professor on the topic of inclusive education, and Kim Loyens, associate professor at the School of Governance.

During this episode, we discuss the topics of inclusion, diversity and integrity from different perspectives: from social justice in education to the business side of education, when students will later enter the work field. From these perspectives, we address questions such as: As a teacher, how do you create a safe environment where there is room for different perspectives and discussion? And how can you help your students develop into professionals of integrity? Among other things, we will talk about the importance of daring to be vulnerable as a teacher.
