Natalia Petrovskaia wins JIAS essay prize
Assistant Professor in Medieval Culture Natalia Petrovskaia has won the biennial essay prize of the (JIAS) for her essay .

As described in by Leah Tether and Samantha J. Rayner, Petrovskaia's essay was selected by Prof. Andrew Lynch, International president of JIAS, who noted that the essay was especially clearly and carefully argued
and that it operated within a very complex context.
He also praised the thoughtful way it engages with the terminology of postcolonial studies.
