Meet the Professor: open for all researchers!

On Wednesday morning, 1 April 2026, we will be organising the eleventh edition of Meet the Professor. This edition will be bigger than ever! In addition to primary schools in the city of Utrecht, schools (groups 6, 7 and 8) from the Utrecht region are now also participating. In just two weeks, 100 classes have already registered. So, would you, as a researcher, like to visit a class together with your duo partner? Then sign up!
Research duos
Because we believe it is important to give children a realistic picture of who can be a researcher, and because research is teamwork, we are working with duos again this year. Last year, we received a lot of positive feedback from the duos! We therefore ask you to register together with a colleague. This can be a PhD student, assistant professor or associate professor, or a colleague who contributes directly or indirectly to your research in another way. Just to be clear: you don't have to be a professor to participate. Two researchers (junior, medior, senior) can also participate together.
About Meet the Professor
Meet the Professor is organised once a year by the Centre for Science and Culture. Starting this year, Meet the Professor will be joining forces with Slimme Gasten. This means we will be reaching even more schools, both within and outside the city of Utrecht.
Research duos visit a primary school class (groups 6, 7 or 8) to involve pupils in their research. Children have an hour to ask all their questions. Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 introduces them to science and research in this way, with the aim of reducing the distance between the university and society.
