The focus area Migration and Societal Change is looking for someone to join our team. The focus area provides a platform for researchers at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ working on migration and related societal transformations. We aim to stimulate cross-fertilization between researchers from different disciplines and with stakeholders in the wider society.

Who are we looking for?

The project coordinator:

• Has an interest in migration (for example indicated by own research in this field);
• Is well organized and has great communication skills (including digital skills);
• Has a network of its own within the ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ of Utrecht in the field of migration and is capable of further developing and maintaining this network, in close collaboration with the research leaders of the Focus Area;
• Is fluent in English.
• Is avaliabe for 0.2 fte

Tasks

The project coordinator:

• Organizes the activities of the Board and the Steering Committee of the Focus Area and prepares this in collaboration with the research leaders of the Focus Area;
• Contributes to the organization of project activities (in collaboration with the secretary and the communication officer);
• Is responsible for the process and planning and keeps track of all relevant information and deadlines (research activities, budgets, collaborations);
• Organizes activities such as Calls for Seed Money Projects;
• Helps with ‘scouting’ of UU migration scholars who can contribute to the Focus Area;
• Writes drafts for the website, newsletters, policy briefs, mid-term reports;
• Is the contact person and intermediate for societal partners and builds bridges with UU migration scholars and the field.
