Lesson study webinar

On April 16th, Lesson Study NL organized a WALS webinar presenting Dutch Lesson Study PhD research. The webinar served as a taster for the which will be held on 3-6 September 2019 in Amsterdam. The conference theme is "crafting sustainable pedagogies for teaching and learning" and reflects on three lenses to look at Lesson Study:

  • The craftsmanship it demands;
  • Its sustainable effects;
  • The pedagogies which make us learn.

An example of each of these three lenses was shown by three PhD students. Susanne Jansen represented the Freudenthal Institute and discussed her research about improving students' reasoning with models of biological processes. The webinar has been recorded and can be viewed following this .
