Lecture Pauline Jacobs 'Don't kill in our names'
On Wednesday October 10, the World day against the death penalty, Montaigne researcher Pauline Jacobs delivered a lecture with the title 'The abolition of the death penalty. Context and current challenges'.
She did so during the meeting 'Don鈥檛 kill in our names', organized by Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 and the Sant' Egidio foundation. During this meeting, Susan Kigula shared her story on how she was once sentenced to death, but after a successful attempt to have capital punishment declared unconstitutional and abolished in Uganda she was set free after 16 years of punishment. Now she fights for abolition of the death penalty around the world.
