As a teacher, you can take advantage of all kinds of professional development opportunities in the field of education, organised by the Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning.
Upcoming sessions
For example, there will soon be a workshop in which you will get to work with the assessment cycle. Based on the cycle, you will examine which activities you already carry out in your assessment practice and where you would like to develop further.
In addition, there will be a session in which you will learn how to work with the grade centre of the new Learning Management System Brightspace, where assignment results can be collected and displayed.
There will also be a two-part session focusing on conducting conversations and discussions about difficult and sensitive topics with your students. You will learn how to prepare for this as a teacher and how to guide your students through these discussions.
Also, a session on media assignments will soon take place. In this session, you will explore how videos and podcasts can be powerful learning tools. You will learn practical strategies for effectively using and assessing media assignments in line with your learning objectives.
