Intimate Implant receives Public Engagement Seed Fund
This summer, one Public Engagement Seed Fund application was honoured. Together with designer Bertrand Burgers, Anne-Floor de Kanter and Manon van Daal (UMC Utrecht) developed Intimate Implant, an interactive art installation that provokes discussion on the relation between the human body and technology.
Art and Science
With regenerative medicine, researchers develop implants that merge with the human body. This raises questions with important ethical and societal implications. The art installation challenges people to take a stance in this discussion, and shows us how researchers can use art to engage an audience with ethical dilemma’s. You can experience Intimate Implant at the upcoming Betweter Festival in Utrecht (29 September) and at the in Eindhoven (21-29 October).
will follow this year to submit applications up to €10,000.
