The students behind  have not been sitting still the past few months and - from their own living rooms - worked hard on a three-part online video series on the impact of the corona crisis on climate change. In this first episode they talk with Sanne Akerboom, researcher at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. Her research focuses on how legislation and policy can contribute to tackling climate change.

Government policy aimed at sustainable recovery
One of the issues the Impact Café addresses in the video is whether the corona crisis offers opportunities to structure government policy in such a way as to stimulate sustainable recovery. Can support measures for businesses be deployed in such a way that sustainability is given a central place?

Impact Café is an initiative for and by students of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance of Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. The aim is to find bottlenecks and solutions in the field of sustainability and to stimulate discussion between students and experts. The content of the video series falls under the larger theme: What are the implications of the corona crisis for the climate in the long run?
