Historic Janskerkhof 13/13a gets renovation for the future
Integral design team wanted
Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 is committed to the sustainable renovation of the historic Janskerkhof 13/13a complex. This monumental building from 1648, currently used by the Faculty of Humanities, will be modernised in the coming years to meet contemporary requirements for comfort and energy consumption. Developing and implementing a contemporary accommodation concept is part of the renovation. Together with the users, we will work out how work and meeting spaces can be used flexibly, in line with the university's future vision.
Three pillars
The renovation focuses on three pillars: improving climate control, applying a contemporary accommodation concept, and addressing structural challenges. The objective is to bring the building up to modern comfort and sustainability standards without compromising its historic character.
With this renovation, which will start in 2026 and is expected to be completed in 2029, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 underscores its commitment to heritage conservation and sustainability, while keeping the building employable for the future.
