Higher Education Research: focus area extended for four years
The Higher Education Research (HER) focus area successfully secured funding for a second term, stretching from 2024 to 2027. Within focus areas, researchers from Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 join forces to achieve scientific innovation and societal impact on a specific theme. HER is committed to higher education research, with the aim of contributing to the scientific basis underpinning UU's innovative education.
Focus area HER has brought together researchers working on various aspects of higher education in recent years. This includes both general learning and educational science to more discipline-specific and policy-oriented research. In the second term, we continue to actively invest in building a close-knit community and focus on strengthening the research infrastructure. Part of this includes further developing support for researchers in higher education and bringing together PhD students in the field of HER, including outside of education science groups.
UU already has a lot of higher education expertise in-house. Every faculty has one or more groups focusing on HER. In addition, the number of dissertations on the subject of HER, as well as publications on the subject, has also increased in recent years. These have focused on topics such as teaching and learning, study success, employability, selection and digitization. For a deeper insight into the scope of the focus area, please refer to (login required or requested via her@uu.nl).
