Hens Runhaar new Core Team member of Future Food Utrecht
On January 1 2024, Hens Runhaar will take over Stefan Dekker's place within the core team of Future Food Utrecht. We would like to wholeheartedly thank Stefan Dekker for his active engagement and contribution to Future Food, and warmly welcome Hens Runhaar in our community. Hens is Associate Professor of Governance of Nature and Biodiversity at Copernicus Institute (UU) and Visiting Professor at Wageningen 木瓜福利影视 and Research. His research is about the governance of more sustainable food systems, with a specific focus on biodiversity recovery in agriculture. Hens has been a familiar face at Future Food activities for many years, so we are very happy to now have him on board our core team. Hens is looking forward to his new role as well. 鈥淚 want to bring my expertise and network to Future Food and hope to further engage in inter- and transdisciplinary research. Through Future Food, I also hope to contribute to more sustainable food systems鈥. On a more personal level, Hens is also involved in promoting sustainable food systems. 鈥淣ext spring, my wife and I will participate in a local CSA. I am looking forward to self-harvest and eat organic and seasonal vegetables and fruits.鈥
