Future Food Utrecht celebrates 20 years of collaboration UU with Danone

In May 2005, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 and Danone formally launched a research alliance, focusing on food, health, sustainability, and translational research. Over the past 20 years, this partnership has fostered groundbreaking studies, bridging fundamental, use-inspired research and proof-of-concept clinical research.

On May 21, 2025, we celebrated this milestone with a symposium at our DDW building, bringing together scientists, industry leaders, and partners to share new research data, initiate collaborations, and explore advanced methods and technologies鈥攁ll with the common goal of creating healthier food and a more sustainable future.

One of the unique strengths of this alliance is how it integrates profit and non-profit collaboration on our campus, fully aligned with the Future Food Utrecht vision. This synergy ensures that academic research translates into real-world solutions, driving innovation in food science and nutrition.

Professor Johan Garssen, Chair of Future Food Utrecht, attended the Danone Alliance Day, emphasizing the success of this partnership and the exciting opportunities ahead. Looking forward, we continue to strengthen ties between science and industry, working together toward a healthier and more sustainable world.
