AWARDED PROJECTS

SELF-cursus 鈥 Future of Food (Toekomst van de Voeding )
StichtingStudent & Leefstijl - Miranda Adams

We want to increase the knowledge of the the future doctor and scientist with skills and curiosity in the field of nutrition and lifestyle. With this we want to draw more attention to the importance of healthy food and a healthy lifestyle in the consultation room. In addition we want to show that more research in to this subject should be undertaken. We also indirectly combine the collaboration between doctor and researcher, so that clinic and research are better aligned.

Sustainable Cooking Workshop
UBV Sustainability Committee - Rebecca de Paus and C茅line de Ruijter

The policy of the new board of the Utrecht Biologists Association, or in short UBV, is to make our association as sustainable as possible. In order to achieve this, all activities should be meat free and they highly encourage activities focused on sustainability. We as the sustainability committee, Orbis, of course see this as our calling. Many people consider vegetarian or vegan food to be boring and less tasty, because ingredients are 鈥渕issing鈥. We think that if people get rid of this idea, more of them would eat vegetarian or vegan on a regular basis. In order to achieve this shift in mindset, we want to organise a cooking workshop in which we will show that sustainable cooking is definitely not boring.
