Join us on Thursday, 18 September 2025, from 12:30 to 18:30, for a research-focused symposium on alternative forms of assessment in the age of AI. Featuring keynote lectures by  and , the event invites you to explore how research on assessment practices in higher education is evolving in response to technological developments and the growing need for meaningful, future-focused evaluation.

What should you expect?

The event features two keynote lectures one by (Professor of Technology-Enhanced Assessment at Fontys 木瓜福利影视 of Applied Sciences) and a second speaker to be announced shortly, followed by a lively debate. Together, we will critically reflect on the challenges and opportunities that AI brings to assessment. Two discussants will conclude the day by sharing key takeaways and their own perspective. Doors open at 12:30 at the Grand Caf茅 in the Vening Meinesz building A, so feel free to come early and connect. Afterwards, join us for drinks and informal conversation from 17:00 to 18:30.
