FAIR Research IT programme to support Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 scientists
Research teams at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 can receive support in the field of Research IT via the new FAIR Research IT programme that will start January first, 2022. Researchers can ask for help for different matters. For example, you may need specific software, training, or tools for collecting, processing, or storing your data. Or you may need advice on security and privacy, how to make software reproducible, or assistance with quickly mastering a subject such as machine learning. Some research teams have large data sets or software that requires a lot of computing time and are looking for advice on how to deal with this. Others like to collaborate with their colleagues from other fields, for example on a topic such as natural language processing.
This programme will organize this support such that it is available to every research team at our university. Structurally and on a large scale, with an emphasis on repeatability. The FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) are our guidance, to ensure that knowledge and solutions previously found or developed can be easily and quickly reused by others.
This vision requires a number of components. First of all, a culture for FAIR Research IT and an infrastructure. These are the foundations of FAIR Research IT. Furthermore, a way to generate building blocks and offer them in FAIR way and, finally, a Research IT Competence Center for managing and directing this. The plan is to realize these components in the period from 2022 to 2025

In the next months, this programme document will be converted to a document with much more detail, to ensure a smooth programme start at January 1, 2022.
