Environmental Vision Utrecht Science Park 2040 published
The municipality has published the draft Environmental Vision (in Dutch) for the Utrecht Science Park 2040. From 15 June to 27 July, anyone can respond to the draft Environmental Vision and the associated SEA. See , also for a video with English subtitles.
Education, care, research and innovation are central to the USP. We want to keep and further develop this unique character in the future. That is why we are making room for the growth of living, working, sports, accommodation and recreation. At the same time, we want to strengthen the landscape. The area is lively, green, sustainable and easily accessible. New and attractive cycling and walking routes and good public transport ensure that the USP remains accessible. Parking mainly takes place on the edge of the area, which means that a large part of the USP will soon be car-free. Space is being sought for generating sustainable energy in the form of one or two wind turbines and solar fields.
There will be an (online) information meeting in Dutch on the 6th of July. You can register via USPomgevingsvisie@utrecht.nl.
