Enrich your teaching practice with the Peer Observation Programme for lecturers

Teaching is often done as an individual: what happens in the classroom stays in the classroom. Are you curious about how other lecturers teach? And what you could learn from them? The Peer Observation Programme (POP), organised by the Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning (CAT), offers you the opportunity to observe how your colleagues teach and to be observed yourself, so that you can reflect on your own teaching practice.

What does the programme look like?

The POP takes place in periods 2 and 3 of the 2025-2026 academic year and consists of three joint meetings with observation rounds in between. You will go through the programme with an observation buddy, who you will be paired with during the first joint meeting. The meetings will focus on how and what you can observe and how you can reflect on your own personal development. There will also be room for exchanging insights and experiences.

Who is the programme intended for?

Whether you are just starting out as a teacher or already have years of experience, the POP is meant for every lecturer. The only condition for participation is that you are teaching during the period that the programme runs.

Registration

You can register via . The first meeting will take place on Monday 10 November. Make sure you register before then if you want to participate.
